Burst pipe damages Bradford’s general store

BRADFORD—Bliss Village Store’s owner hopes to fully reopen soon after a burst frozen water pipe on the morning of Feb. 6 caused extensive water damage. At 5:30 a.m. on Feb. 6, Bliss Village Store staff arriving for work were greeted by puddles and puddles of water and broken ceiling tiles throughout the store.

Federal and state officials, including Congresswoman Becca Balint, were in downtown Bradford on Tuesday morning to celebrate the buildout of the electric vehicle super-fast chargers completed earlier this month. The chargers in downtown Bradford in a municipal parking lot adjacent to Denny Park are Vermont’s first electric vehicle super-fast chargers under the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure program. There will be another grand opening on May 4.
