Erosion threatening motel shored up

WELLS RIVER—No more sleepless nights and troubled days worrying that his business could wash away.
Dan Patel is the owner of the Wells River Motel, which is perched atop its namesake river shortly before it spills out into the Connecticut River.  For more than a decade, erosion has posed a serious threat to the building.
