Newbury to appeal VPI decision
NEWBURY—The case involving the state’s proposed juvenile detention center in Newbury appears to be head to the Vermont Supreme Court. On Oct. 18, the Vermont Environmental Court overruled the town’s rejection of a zoning permit application to redevelop a former bed and breakfast into a secure treatment facility.

Federal and state officials, including Congresswoman Becca Balint, were in downtown Bradford on Tuesday morning to celebrate the buildout of the electric vehicle super-fast chargers completed earlier this month. The chargers in downtown Bradford in a municipal parking lot adjacent to Denny Park are Vermont’s first electric vehicle super-fast chargers under the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure program. There will be another grand opening on May 4.
