Vershire man sentenced on weapons charge

BOSTON—A Vershire man has been sentenced to more than seven years in federal prison after pleading guilty to weapons possession. Dominick Bailey, 57, and a co-defendant attempted to trade guns for drugs in November 2019 when police in Massachusetts arrested them in a sting.

Old building charm shines through in new studio

CORINTH—Neysa Russo recently purchased the historic Willis Theatre on Center Road in Corinth moving The Felting Studio there from the Lower Plain in Bradford.  She hopes to keep much of the 178-year-old building’s charm intact, although some restorations are planned.

It was pleasant Sunday morning for Cottage Hospital’s 3rd Annual Any Which Way 5K, Walk-a-Thon which began at the Woodsville Elementary School in Woodsville. The fundraiser attracted dozens of runners and walkers for the event and also a craft fair was held at the school.
