Orford senior center merges with Horse Meadow

ORFORD—This is the final week for the Orford Area Senior Services to operate at the Orford Congregational Church. The Orford senior services arm of the Grafton County Senior Citizens Council will merge with the Horse Meadow Senior Center effective Nov. 1.

Adequacy aid declines

WOODSVILLE—The Haverhill Cooperative School District will need to raise $214,000 more in property tax revenue than was anticipated to support the current year’s expenses. The shortfall is a direct result of declining state adequacy aid.

Vacancy filled on town board

BRADFORD—The selectboard has appointed Jarrod Kosakowski to fill the vacancy left by Michael Wright, who resigned last month. The board made the appointment during its regularly scheduled meeting on Oct. 23.

Officials plan local housing forum

NEWBURY—The Newbury Selectboard, the Newbury Planning Commission, and an ad-hoc Cohase Chamber of Commerce Housing Committee will sponsor a community housing forum on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 11 a.m. at the Congregational Church Vestry at 4915 Main Street North in Newbury.
