State turns to Windsor for court security
CHELSEA—Beginning last month, Windsor County Sheriff’s Department started providing security at the Orange County Courthouse in the Orange County seat of Chelsea. The contract with the Vermont Judiciary had traditionally been held by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

Rivendell board schooled on surplus
WEST FAIRLEE—For the second year in a row, the Rivendell Interstate School District has an estimated $600,000 in surplus. School board members heard about the surplus during their meeting on Sept. 3 when they met at Westshire Elementary School.
Reggae Festival brings beats to Bradford
BRADFORD—When the cool wind swept in the unmistakable autumn air, spectators from as far as New York, South Carolina, and Florida exited the Bradford Fairgrounds after the first three-day Green Mountain Reggae Festival came to a close Sunday afternoon.
