Local men step in to defuse tense scene
ORFORD—Quick thinking last week by two Orford residents helped peacefully resolve an incident that led to a lockdown at Rivendell Academy. John Dunham is an Orford firefighter and Dartmouth College patrol officer. Mike Wright is the road agent for Fairlee and a road commission member in Orford. Dunham works with Wright on a part-time basis.
