Newbury Town Meeting Preview: Detention center to take center stage

The point is what many in Newbury hope registered voters make through Article 8 on town meeting warning. They want to send a unified message to state leaders concerning the proposed juvenile detention center on Stevens Place.
There will be no in-person town meeting in Newbury this year. Voters will be asked to cast Australian ballots by mail or in person at the Newbury Elementary School gymnasium on March 7 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
