Settlement reached in BMU scholarship suit

BURLINGTON—A recent leading Blue Mountain Union School graduate, who maintains her academic grades were manipulated by the school officials to cheat her out of winning a prestigious, all-expense scholarship at the University of Vermont, has reached an out-of-court settlement, according to records in U.S. District Court.

NH school launches e-bike program

New Hampshire Academy of Science in Lyme will offer a pilot program, the Electric Bike Conversion Workshop, to Upper Valley students in grades 9-12. Starting Oct. 6, the afternoon classes will meet on four consecutive Sundays.

State turns to Windsor for court security

CHELSEA—Beginning last month, Windsor County Sheriff’s Department started providing security at the Orange County Courthouse in the Orange County seat of Chelsea. The contract with the Vermont Judiciary had traditionally been held by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
